Finding the right creative mind to bring a design to fruition is ultimately what a potential client searches for. With this in mind, it is imperative to understand the design process that Darren Grayson Designers evolves from.
Darren is a holistic designer, putting it simply, from creating the floorplan and elevation, interior and exterior finishes, furniture form and balance to each rooms function, colour and soft furnishing palette, pool design and the completion of complementing landscaping including plant choices to enhanse the total package. This is keeping total consideration of the client`s requirements and budgets allocated.
In employing the process of Darren Grayson Designers, there is one designer, along with yourself to ensure a perfect harmonized result.
Clients often have different examples of home designs they are attracted to, which may be the inspiration to employ a designer; to marry various ideas to allow the realisation of their dream home. Care must be taken when combining design features of several different homes to create a concept, if all aspects of form, texture and colour are to be married successfully. It’s very easy to end up with a patchwork of great ideas that appeal to you, that simply do not flow if an overall design has not been considered, and further, that they don’t appear ‘dated’ on completion.
‘‘I try to encourage my clients to think beyond their pre-conceived ideas and preferences by offering examples of future form and alternative collaborations to inspire the design process. Much of my own inspiration borders on ‘modern commercial’ with a ‘minimalist but plush’ interior fit out and furnishing.”

“After conceptualising the design layout, ensuring that we have ample area for all requirements, plans are drafted where the vision becomes two dimensional, allowing the client to have a better understanding of the flow and actuality of the space their home will provide them.
When the size, balance and traffic flow are cohesive and the design is marrying itself to the land, a three dimensional model can be made. At this point, total understanding of the structure is realised.
`I believe this process is extremely important not only to the client but for everyone involved in the construction process`. Once the client and I are happy with the model, the draftsperson for the project will commence working drawings and engineering specifications are undertaken.
A dynamic relationship develops amongst the various parties largely built on goodwill and trust. Once the clients have given me their trust, the creative process expands and the results speak for themselves in the finished project.”
